Description
In 1902 the Arkhangelsk merchant Yakov Makarov built the baths, a two-story brick building, on the Northern Dvina bank. The building was called "Makarov’s Baths" and became a popular place among the residents of Arkhangelsk. Yakov Makarov also owned timber mills, power plants, vessel towing company, etc.
